Here are my latest camera acquisitions. I went round to carers link op shop the other day as they usually have a pile of cameras there that I wanted to check out. I found these. Theres two Agfamatics and a Ricoh 35 EFS. The two Agfas are pretty interesting and maybe one day I can find some film to fit them, otherwise the Ricoh takes normal old 35 and I think should still work ok. I know the flash works which is good because my other ricoh has no flash. One day, I say. One day.

So I went on a little adventure once and found myself rumaging through an old abandoned farmhouse, judging by the newspapers and such lying around nobody would have lived there for almost 15 to 20 years. It was a stange thing, a house that someone had simply up and left leaving their belongings behind. Womens shoes, clothes, ancient West End “Export” Draught bottles, things left in the fridge, unopened soda bottles. From what I could gather it seemed that one of them had some kind of ongoing illness, lots of medication lying around, maybe this had something to do with their leaving so abruptly. In anycase, the place is still frequented as there is a small shearing shed next door that was recently in use.
The one thing I found which I took, it didn’t seem like anyone would miss it, was an old plastic camera. The Snappy Camera.

It looks like one of those holga dianas that all the cool people use, but it’s not a holga, it’s a snappy. It says its made in Hong Kong underneath with a number, #151, if anyone knows anything about this camera, please let us know something. I can’t find anything about it through Google and I sure as hell don’t know how to use it. There was a roll of film still in it which I wound up and removed, I don’t know where or how I can get the photos developed, but it would be interesting to see them.

I’m not evil for stealing this camera, it was talking to me and it wants a new life.
